Masseria Aprile

The masseria belongs to our family since 1700 (year in which it was built). In 1992, together with my husband Antonio and my children Valerio and Stefania, we renovated it and started the Agriturismo. The farm is part of a 25 hectare farm and consists of a large farmyard, large and green pastures surrounded by centuries-old woods that can be traveled on foot, the olive grove, the vineyard and the trulli of the seventeenth century, inimitable examples of spontaneous architecture made of local stone. There is also the courtyard with chickens and hens, and the church, where my wedding was celebrated. In the old manor house, entirely in stone, I live with my family. Ali and Pasquina, our horses, together with Sisina, our donkey, are an integral part of our family.

The exterior

Trulli Superior

Trulli of 1600, are part of the oldest area of the farm. They were used for the breeding of animals and for the home of the massai family. We have obtained 3 independent accommodations, the Trullo Pollaio, the Trullo Conigliera and the Trullo di Rosa. The latter takes its name from the last housewife who lived there. Finely restored with natural materials, lime and cocciopesto. Equipped with a tea corner with sink and electric kettle, a comfortable bathroom with walk-in shower, satellite TV and a small terrace with a shaded area furnished with table and chairs.

Trullo Casaro

Trullo of 1700, formerly used for the conservation of cheese. Pretty trullo with exposed beams, equipped with all services. A splendid centuries-old oak gives this home a pleasant shaded area on hot summer days. Surface: studio flat 20 sq m Bed type: double bed / 2 single beds
